Live + Jesus

The Heart of Jesus loves each soul He has created with an infinite love. Each of us created in the image and likeness of God has a special mission.  In God's mysterious plan, He gives each soul  the grace to live in a special state of life.  To some, He gives the call to the contemplative lifestyle, where they are vowed to live the evangelical counsels of obedience, chastity and poverty.  God chose us first.  Will we have the courage to respond to His call?

Our life here in the Tyringham Visitation Monastery is lived according to the teachings of Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Jane de Chantal.  We live this charism in a contemplative, cloistered community.  The ideal is to be faithful to our two principal virtues given by our Holy Founder--which are gentleness and humility.  We live them in community, sharing our lives with others who have come from different countries and backgrounds but who have the same call from God.  It takes God's special graces to live this life day in and day out.  But the rewards are tremendous, knowing that our small daily sacrifices and prayers are benefiting countless souls.  The Heart of Jesus can change these offerings we make into divine currency to rescue souls from darkness and despair.
